Using the On-line GPA Calculator
 

Step 1: Access your unofficial transcript

  • Log in to MyRU
  • Click on “Academics”
  • Click on “Banner SSB Student Menu” (on the left side of the screen)
  • Click on “Student Records”
  • Click on “Unofficial Transcript”
  • Click “Submit”
  • Scroll down far enough so you are able to view the most recent completed term
  • On the line where it says “Cumulative”, you will need the following information:
    • GPA Hours,
    • Quality Points and
    • GPA

Step 2: Access and use the GPA Calculator

  • Go to https://eduweb.education.radford.edu/advising/gpa/gpa_calc_2018.asp (opens in new tab)
  • In the designated boxes on the top line, enter your Cumulative GPA Hours, Quality Points, and GPA (found on your unofficial transcript during Step 1)
  • Enter a course you are currently registered for or plan to take during the next semester (ex. PEAC 200)
  • Enter the number of credit hours the course is (ex. 3)
  • From the drop-down menu, select the grade you anticipate earning in the course
  • If you are repeating the course, click the box under “repeat” and then select the previous grade you earned in the class from the dropdown box on the far-right. 
  • If you are not repeating a class, you can skip step 7.
  • Repeat steps 4-7 until you have entered all of the courses you are taking during the term. 
  • Click “Calculate GPA” to see your projected GPA. 
  • If the outcome is not what you want/need, then you can adjust your grades to see what you would have to earn in order to get the needed/desired GPA.
